SADAKO ATTENDS JOLLIBEE EVENT
The Jolly Hotdog was my favorite in high school. I don’t
know how many times I had it, but I am very sure I ate a lot of it. It’s still
my favorite right now and it’s amazing how it tastes exactly like it did when I
was in high school.
I am also a big fan of their French fries. I prefer it over
the fries of McDonald’s . One thing I like to do is ask people which fries they
prefer, and then bond with them if they like the fries from Jollibee, or
passionately defend the Jollibee fries if they say they like the fries from
McDo.
I also remember stanning for their chili wings. It was sadly
available for just a limited time and I’m just bummed they never resurrected
that.
But my super favorite from Jollibee is the Jolly Spaghetti
because it is the Pinoy spaghetti. I like that it is sweet. I like that it is
blood red. I like that it has hotdogs. I like how one bite instantly transports
me back to my childhood, when my mom would bring home some as pasalubong.
Sadako is also a Jolly Kid who loves the Jolly Spaghetti;
that’s her favorite from Jollibee, actually.
So imagine how excited she was when I told her I was
attending a Jollibee event and that I was tagging her along.
At the photowall, she wore a crown (you know how most girls
are) and a picture of a giant Jolly Spaghetti.
While waiting for the program to start she colored some
pictures (in purple, her favorite color).
And then these cute mini-managers came in and served Jolly
Spaghetti, iced tea, and peach mango pies.
Sadako was fine with just the spaghetti.
Jollibee was there, of course. Hetty Spaghetti was present,
too.
Sadako had so much fun all throughout the event, especially
that part when everyone was asked to dance along to Jollibee’s new jingle.
But the highlight of Sadako’s day was reuniting with her
classmate Xia, who is the newest endorser of the brand. I intentionally didn’t
tell Sadako because I wanted to surprise her. She’s been missing her classmates
so I knew she’d want to see Xia again especially because they won’t be
classmates anymore.
Super fun day!
