Sadako and I recently got invited to the #CheezWhizCheeseventions event of Cheez Whiz and of course we said yes!
  

Before the program started, Sadako had some time to be part of fun activities.


She was tasked to spread Cheez Whiz on bread, and it was so cute to see her focused and competitive even if she was JUST SPREADING CHEEZ WHIZ ON BREAD.
  

She had to pose beside a standee of Cowcium (love the name!), the Cheez Whiz mascot.


And she had to write something on the freedom wall (she doodled, actually).


After all those she got a goodie bag. She took a peek and said wow when she saw all the Cheez Whiz products inside because she loves anything cheese so much.


The main activity was a cooking demo with Chef DJ Santos plus Bettinna Carlos and her daughter Gummy.



The first dish was a ham and cheese sandwich tower. Sadako customized hers to look like Rapunzel’s tower, complete with Rapunzel’s hair – made of Cheez Whiz, of course.



The second one was much simpler – cupcakes topped with Cheez Whiz and designed with biscuits and popcorn.


I tried to help her from time to time but Sadako would assure me that she can do it on her own. After about five times of doing that, I got the message loud and clear! It was actually nice to see her all independent and creative making those dishes.


Sadako and the other kids got awarded certificates after the demos. Look at Sadako’s smile – it’s as if she graduated from college HAHAHA.


Another fun day bonding with Sadako, thanks to Cheez Whiz. I’m looking forward to attending more events with Sadako.

Congratulations to shoe brand TOMS, which now has their flagship store at the Mega Fashion Hall of SM Megamall! I AUDITIONED FOR SMOKEY MOUNTAIN

I loved singing and performing for relatives and guests at home when I was young. One time, when I was about four years old, my mother asked me to sing Tomorrow for our relatives who were visiting. I instantly burst into song. However, after singing the first line with so much passion, I decided to stop and asked to be excused. I went inside my room, did a proper entrance, and then whipped out my milk bottle, which I used as a microphone. I sang “The sun will come out tomorrow” again and finished the song. No doubt about it: even when I was just a kid, I already knew I wanted to sing and perform for others. Fast forward to my high school years. One day, I read in the papers that Ryan Cayabyab was forming an all-male version of Smokey Mountain. Of course, I just had to try out. I didn’t tell my parents about it. MY 3-YEAR-OLD IS ALREADY WEARING A BRA

And it’s Beyonce’s fault. See, Sadako has a thing for playing dress-up. She asks for a bandana or a scarf or any piece of cloth to be wrapped around her head whenever she wants to sing along to her favorite Erykah Badu song, “Bag Lady.” She makes sure she’s wearing her kitten heels whenever she performs Tamar Braxton’s “Love and War.” She grabs this piece of white piece of lacy fabric and puts it around her shoulders whenever she’s copying Christina Aguilera in her American Music Awards performance, where she sang a medley of tracks from her “Lotus” album, starting with “Lotus (Intro).” So going back to Beyonce, my little one discovered the talented star just recently when I popped in a DVD copy of her 2006 concert. It didn’t take long for Sadako to copy the star’s birits, moves, and get-ups.
